The relaxed, contemporary décor of Soča Lodge creates a warm and welcoming ambience, with charming furnishings and natural wood finishes featured throughout the lodge’s interior. The open-plan living space on the ground floor is ideal for everyone to gather together and relax after a day spent hiking and exploring Triglav National Park. Here, guests will find a comfortable lounge area with a sumptuous corner sofa and a flat-screen TV, a cosy spot in which to unwind with a glass of excellent Slovenian wine on colder evenings. The living space also features a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a dining area, where everyone can enjoy a delicious meal by the warmth of the fireplace whilst discussing the day’s adventures.Each morning, bright blue skies and the revitalising mountain breeze will draw you outside to Soča Lodge’s sun-drenched stone terrace, where you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee or take a quick dip in the soothing waters of your own private jacuzzi. From here, you can spend the rest of the day soaking up the sunshine in the garden or make the most of the lodge’s complimentary bikes and discover the valley’s wonders surrounding you. The jacuzzi is even more magical at night, once the stars have appeared overhead and the peaceful garden comes alive with the sounds of the natural world.
Back inside your inviting lodge, there are two delightful bedrooms. One bright and airy double bedroom boasts a king-size bed, while the lodge’s second bedroom features a double bed and comfortable bunk beds, making this an ideal room for families to share. With charming, lofted ceilings and exposed timber beams, Soča Lodge provides guests with an authentic atmosphere that is both restful and rejuvenating. The lodge also features two modern, well-appointed bathrooms.

From the lush greens of the countryside in spring to the refreshing summertime waters of the River Soča or stunning autumnal hiking views and magical snowy scenes in Triglav National Park come winter, the beauty of this region is sure to leave visitors spellbound.
The beautiful hiking and trekking trails around Lepena Valley will guide you along the River Soča basins all the way to a secluded forest path leading to the cascading waters and charming wooden bridges of the spectacular Šunik Water Grove. From Soča Lodge, this walk takes approximately half an hour. You will be tempted to stay here all afternoon, soaking up the sunshine through the trees whilst taking photos of the picturesque waterfall and the forest around you.
Famous throughout Europe for its emerald-green hue, the pristine natural scenery of the River Soča will continue to tempt you to plunge into its cool, refreshing waters for a revitalising swim. If you fancy venturing further afield, Triglav National Park boasts an abundance of great hiking spots, with diverse landscapes and trails varying in intensity.
Approximately twenty minutes away from Soča Lodge by car, the small and lively town of Bovec has become known as Slovenia’s ‘adrenaline capital’, with an exciting array of water-based activities to offer visitors. Bovec is also the perfect example of a traditional alpine town, where you can enjoy a leisurely dinner at a friendly local inn or sit with a coffee and take in the atmosphere of Bovec Square, the setting for various summer events. History enthusiasts can also visit the nearby Ravelnik Outdoor Museum.
Complimentary bikes are provided at Soča Lodge, allowing guests to enjoy more wondrous sights. For an enjoyable challenge, why not ascend to the heights of the Vršič pass? Not for the faint-hearted, this is one of Slovenia’s most challenging alpine bike routes, boasting panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The pass can also be traversed by car, so if you would prefer to drive to one of many scenic viewpoints, make sure to pack a picnic full of delicious local produce to enjoy.
For an extraordinary day trip, the glacial wonders of Lake Bled are an hour and forty minutes away by car. Visit the town’s well-known cliffside castle, rent a rowboat, and make your way to the lake’s fairytale island before indulging in lunch at a local restaurant. After another refreshing day outdoors, head back to Soča Lodge in time for a dip in the jacuzzi at sunset before unwinding by the fire with a glass of excellent regional wine.
