Overview
Casa Jimena is a stunning six-bedroom villa with a private pool, sleeping up to 8 guests. Located in the centre of the charming village of Jimena de la Frontera, where the Ronda Mountains and the Strait of Gibraltar meet, this is the 'real' side of Spanish living. This traditional Andalusian house, with Moorish influences, has been lovingly restored to create a stylish mix of original features complemented by contemporary furnishings and fixtures. Casa Jimena is spread over three levels and boasts a fabulous swimming pool, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi and TV.
The attractive living area is typically Spanish with contemporary twists. Whitewashed walls, open beam ceilings and terracotta tiles are the perfect backdrops to eye-catching stone wall features, warm woods and elegant seating areas. A grand piano dominates the space adding a regal air to the surroundings.
The living area leads to an internal patio that adjoins a distinctive 'country-styled' kitchen - a well-equipped diner with many modern features. Chefs will love the induction hob, eye-level oven and large, fashionable fridge-freezer. The striking, open fireplace, which doubles as an indoor barbecue, is also sure to be a big hit, just as well as the built-in coffee machine. The dining area offers a stylish dining table, perfect for relaxed dinner parties, and a more cosy seating area perfect for after-dinner drinks.
This beautifully rebuilt 6 double bedroom house in the traditional Southern Spanish way is built over 3 levels, with two bedrooms conveniently located on the ground floor, perfect for multi-generational family groups. The two ground-floor double bedrooms are simple and stylish. The first bedroom benefits from a modern en-suite bathroom, whilst the second bedroom has a separate bathroom. The four upstairs double bedrooms are all beautifully decorated 'Spanish Style' and have en-suite bathrooms. The romantic main bedroom has the bonus of a free-standing cast iron bath and access to a private terrace.
Nobody will get bored at Casa Jimena, with its huge entertainment space in the basement. Watch your favourite films on big squashy sofas before a massive projected cinema screen. Enjoy family fun playing the ice hockey table or work off those calories in the small gym. There is also a laundry room, bathroom, and a small kitchen, great for tasty poolside treats and direct access to the garden through patio doors.
The villa has an enchanting, spacious outside terrace, fully furnished for laid-back al-fresco dining with spectacular panoramic views, and a lovely spot for relaxing with a long cool drink whilst watching the sun go down. Last but not least is the stunning swimming pool that enjoys uninterrupted mountainous views. The pool extends halfway under the property, giving a unique 'cove-like' experience. Casa Jimena is a beautiful property full of unexpected treats and a remarkable base to explore the authentic beauty of this stunning Andalusian region.

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa JimenaCasa Jimena offers an authentic Spanish experience in stunning surroundings. Located in the centre of the village and a short walk away from the Natural Park of Los Alcomocales, you are immersed in rural living at its best.
Jimena de la Frontera is a pretty and historical 'white village', which are popular in the southern regions of Spain. Along its maze of cobbled streets to wander through, there is a good selection of local restaurants and shops and all your essentials can be bought at nearby supermarkets. The area attracts musicians and artists and also hosts an annual international music festival. This is a favourite spot for outdoor enthusiasts due to the wonderful natural beauty of the area, which has fabulous hiking and cycling trails. Speaking of cycling, you will be in a prime location to watch some as the Vuelta de Espana passes by the area!
The old town has been declared Property of Cultural Interest, and you can see many examples of its colourful history. Perched high above the village is a Moorish castle famed for its cistern known as the ‘Moorish Queen’s Bath’, and just outside the village is Laja Alta Cave, where you can examine prehistoric cave paintings, almost unique in the Spanish Mediterranean.
The Natural Park of Los Alcornocales is literally on your doorstep – this is a 1736 sq km of outstanding natural beauty with rolling and rugged hills. Distinctive for its alcornocales (cork-oak woodlands), the park is teeming with birds of prey and wildlife. There is a network of marked trails for every level through the mountains and along the Hozgarganta River, with unmatched views of waterfalls and quiet Andalusian countryside. Another great day out is on the narrow gauge railway from Jimena to Ronda. The small train stops at little white villages along the way and passes through stunning landscapes.
For golf enthusiasts, there are at least 25 top quality golf courses (including Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque) close by, and if you are looking for something really different, why not take a trip to Morocco for the day!

A truly Spanish experience
We had a fantastic time at Angel and Jenny’s house in Jimena de la Frontera. Angel let us drop our bags off early and took us to a nearby restaurant while he finished cleaning. Nothing was too much trouble; he drove us around the village, advising us where to go.
The house had so much space and had everything we needed. The teenagers loved having that much space, and the pool and the views were amazing. The village had everything we needed, bars, restaurants, a chemist, and another pool. We hired a car too and travelled to some lovely towns/places nearby. We highly recommend this place if you want a truly Spanish experience. -
Well situated and great for exploring
This lovingly improved family residence has plenty of space for your party to relax with stunning views of the national park. The house is a short walk from the castle and the town centre and well situated; great for exploring the national park. The teenagers enjoyed the home cinema and the pool particularly. The host was extremely helpful and easy to contact if needed, offering lots of guidance and suggestions about the town and places of interest in the region.

Our visit has inspired us to come again!
Thank you so much for your hospitality over the Easter holidays. The villa is a wonderful place to stay and is ideal for exploring Andalusia.
One day we took the train to Ronda and enjoyed the views from the train and a great meal in the restaurant that you recommended.
Before we came over I booked a tour of the fortifications on Gibraltar. We drove down early and parked at the border. Walking over was easy. The history there is amazing especially from the siege of Gibraltar.
Walking around Jimena we could see the old site of the ammunition works where the Spanish army made the missiles for the siege.
With just four of us we did not need all the space in the villa bit it was a luxury to so many rooms as well as bathrooms. We did a lot of cooking at home as well as buying local pizza and on one night visiting Luis Ceite’s restaurant for a blow-out meal.
Thanks again for all the thoughtful touches – the coffee machine etc.
Our visit has inspired us to come again with a larger party next time and do some cycling and more adventurous hiking,
Thank you. -
Delightful Villa
We had a wonderful 2 week holiday staying at this delightful villa near the centre of Jimena de la Frontera.
The villa is very spacious and was more than ample for the six of us. We really enjoyed the roof terrace where we had our meals looking out across a spectacular view of the village and surrounding countryside. The villa is very well equipped with everything and more that we needed to enjoy our holiday – we particularly enjoyed the cinema room!!
Angel and his wife were fantastic hosts going out of there way to show us where the shops, chemists, doctors, restaurants were (on an unusually very rainy day!!) and really helped us settle in. They also recommended the local Butcher (excellent meat) and local restaurants – the food and wine was delicious and really reasonably priced. They were happy to help throughout our stay.
Don't miss out! Reserve now and get a full refund if you change your mind within 48hrs.
