Casa Bedon is a beautiful two-bedroom villa situated in the charming village of Rales de Llanes in Asturias. This visually impressive and characterful property features a bright blue and exposed stone exterior that certainly makes it stand out from the crowd and promises you and your guests a wonderfully memorable stay.

This former stable has plenty of original features, including stone walls and exposed wooden beams, and offers guests a delightfully rustic and comfortable accommodation with luxurious modern touches. The ground floor is open plan and features a cosy living area with soft cream sofas and a rocking chair, a charming dining space that seats up to four people and an adorable well-equipped kitchen with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, blender and coffee maker - perfect for making smoothies and hearty breakfasts to enjoy while taking in the beautiful garden views. The wall-size window on the ground floor means that Casa Bedon is always flooded with light and really brings the outdoors indoors, and vice versa. There's also a small bathroom on the ground floor for your convenience.

On the first floor of Casa Bedon, you’ll find another slightly larger bathroom as well as two bedrooms; a double and a twin. The bedrooms both feature built-in wardrobes, allowing you to make the most of the space, and have gorgeous views out over the garden. Both bedrooms have the same rustic, country-cottage style vibe as the rest of the villa, with calming, neutral decor, handsomely-crafted furniture and exposed ceiling beams.

Casa Bedon has a beautiful, spacious, walled garden where you and your guests will enjoy peace, tranquillity, and some absolutely breathtaking mountain views. There’s plenty of stylish garden furniture available to use during your stay and a barbecue, so alfresco meals, sunbathing, and after-dinner drinks can really be enjoyed in style!

Casa Bedon is in the quiet village of Rales de Llanes, which only has a population of around 150 people. This stunning rural location is close to some of the best hiking routes in Asturias, as well as some restaurants and cider houses, museums, and caves. There are some incredible beaches nearby, such as the surfer’s paradise that is San Antolin, and with 28 other beaches to be explored in the area of Llanes, you’re going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a sandy hideaway!

In addition to fantastic beaches, the region is known for its dramatic landscapes, excellent food, and pre-romanesque architecture, and yet Asturias is often overlooked as a holiday destination in favour of the south. However,  if you’re searching for somewhere green and pleasant, with caves and forests to explore, nature reserves, good food (especially the cheese!) - and even better cider and wine - Asturias is the place to be.

On the coast, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to enjoy watersports such as surfing, waterskiing and wakeboarding, as well as scuba diving and snorkelling - but if you fancy travelling further inland, you’ll discover even more activities to enjoy. Quadbiking and canyoning are popular pastimes with tourists here, as are hiking and horse riding.

Be sure to immerse yourself in the Asturian culture during your stay by enjoying the many fiestas that are celebrated in Llanes and the surrounding areas, where the townspeople don traditional costumes and enjoy folk dancing and music. With gastronomic festivals as well as religious fiestas taking place in the region, Llanes is a fantastic place for sampling some Asturian cuisine which is often rich in seafood, including squid, crab, lobster, mullet, scorpionfish and anchovies. Cheese is also a staple of the region’s cooking, with soft creamy queso de Vidiago, smoked Ahumado de Pria, and delicious goat’s cheeses such la Cuevona forming part of the delicious recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Be sure to sample some Fabada while you’re here (a cassoulet-type stew), as well as tortos served with picadillo and fried eggs - and make sure you wash it all down with a glass of local cider poured from a great height in the traditional way!

Kids staying at Casa Bedon will enjoy the novelty of staying in a building that was once a stable, and a twin room keeps sleeping arrangements nice and simple. Children will enjoy having a spacious garden in which to play, and the adults can rest safe in the knowledge that the area is fully secured.

Family walks are always a pleasant way to pass the time, and with some of the very best scenic routes right on your doorstep, what could be better than taking the kids out to burn off some energy before heading back to the villa for a delicious barbecue!?

Llanes is an ideal destination for a relaxing family holiday, with beaches galore, beautiful scenery, forests, gorges and hiking trails. Older children will enjoy all of the activities that are available in the area, from exploring caves and quad biking to horse riding, wakeboarding and snorkelling - you're sure to find something for all ages to enjoy. If you plan to spend your days at the beach, you have plenty to choose from, including the popular Cuevas del Mar. This popular sandy stretch can get quite busy during the summer months, but it is well worth a visit with the kids who will enjoy the mixture of white sand and pebbles and calm to moderate swell. The beach features a lot of amenities that make it popular with families, including ample parking, a recreation area, showers, toilets, lifeguards, and places where you can get food and drink.

If you're looking for a quieter beach, it's worth seeking out the amusingly-named 'Playa de Poo' (pronounced 'Poe' in Spanish). This beautiful beach is ideal for children and non-swimmers, as the waters here are calm and shallow, and there are lots of rock pools and small caves to explore. There are good restaurants and parking facilities here, making it a convenient location to stay all day, and when the tide is out, the huge expanse of wet sand is sure to be a hit with young children who want to dig or build sandcastles.

Llanes also features two incredibly unique interior beaches with no seashore, Cobijeru and Gulpiyuri - both of which have been declared natural monuments. The seawater makes its way through tiny tunnels in the limestone cliffs to these unusual beaches, and both make wonderful picnic spots for families who are holidaying with small children.

It can often be a challenge finding somewhere to eat out with the kids while on holiday, but Llanes is simply bursting with eateries and restaurants to suit all tastes; from tapas to corn tortos with a variety of delicious fillings, seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes - finding something to suit even the fussiest of young palates should be a breeze.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €200 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 5 pm. There is the possibility of a different arrival time, but only with prior agreement from the owner at least 3 days before arrival.
Departure time 11 am. There is the possibility of a late departure time, only during the off-peak seasons and with prior agreement from the owner.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Beach towels included? Not available.
End of stay cleaning included? Extra €50 paid to Olivers Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in the rental price.
