The bedroom, finished in a neutral palette, offers a peaceful haven for a restful night's sleep, while the ensuite bathroom features modern fixtures and amenities, ensuring convenience and the perfect space to refresh in the morning or before a night out on the town.
One of the highlights of this charming split-level home is its vibrant private terrace. Step outside and discover a colourful oasis where you can soak up the Catalonian sunshine. Comfortable loungers invite you to recline, unwind, and bask in the warmth of the sun with a good book while enjoying a glass of something cool.
Are you in need of yet more refreshments? Well, you're in luck, as a shared swimming pool awaits just steps away from the apartment on the fifth floor of the building. Dive into its crystal-clear waters and feel immediately refreshed, ready to dry off on the loungers. All that's missing now is an ice-cold cerveza. As places to enjoy the long Catalonian summer and get beneath the skin of vibrant Barcelona go, this one certainly ticks a lot of boxes.
What you should know…
- In the interest of safety, children must be supervised at all times when around the communal pool
- This building has lift access, and there is a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom in the apartment, making it a potential option for guests with mobility issues
- The other two bedrooms, located on the upper floor of the home, also each have their own bathroom, allowing for additional comfort and privacy. – This is what it says in the copy, but it contradicts the bathroom count

Location
About the surrounding area of Apartment MarfilThis funky three-bedroom home boasts a truly wonderful location close to both the Ciutat Vella and the golden shores of Barceloneta Beach in an area known as Eixample Dret – one of Barcelona's hippest neighbourhoods known for its narrow streets lined with historical monuments, sites of cultural significance, great restaurants, cafés, and bustling bars – not to mention shops and plenty of atmospheric laneways to peruse. So, let's get exploring!
The nearby sandy beach at Barceloneta offers a whole host of activities, from sunbathing and swimming to beach volleyball and water sports, ensuring endless entertainment for just about everyone. So, whether you're hoping to spend your days being active beneath the Spanish sunshine or plan on simply lapping up the atmosphere, Barceloneta Beach really is the place to be on a sun-soaked summer afternoon. Also along this stretch of coastline is the Aquarium Barcelona, one of Europe's largest aquariums, which provides the perfect family-friendly afternoon out.
You will also find yourself within easy reach of many of Barcelona's renowned attractions, such as the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, and the vibrant Port Vell, a bustling marina and waterfront area where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade and admire the luxurious yachts.
The city centre is close by, too, and waiting for you there are Barcelona's most iconic districts, buildings and monuments, such as the Barrio Gótico, El Raval, Plaza Catalunya and the Paseo de Gracia, to name but a few. History buffs and culture vultures may well rejoice, as a veritable plethora of art galleries, museums, and architectural wonders – including those designed by Gaudi – is littered all around these historic areas. One of our favourites has to be the Museu d'Història de Barcelona (MUHBA), which is also just a short distance from the home and showcases the city's rich past through archaeological artefacts and interactive exhibits.
Alternatively, why not immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting one of Barcelona's food markets, including that in the Barceloneta neighbourhood and the Boqueria Market located along Las Ramblas? These vibrant markets offer an array of fresh produce, seafood, and loads of local delicacies. Browse through the stalls, sample some tasty treats, and experience the captivating atmosphere of a traditional Spanish market.
Speaking of traditional Spanish atmosphere… You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to the variety of restaurants and popular tapas bars serving an array of freshly prepared, authentic dishes. Indulge in delicious paella, mouthwatering seafood platters, and traditional Catalan dishes at the numerous drinking and dining options in the area. Oh, and don't miss the opportunity to try the famous "fideuà," a seafood dish similar to paella but made with noodles. When it comes to great food in Barcelona, the choices are truly endless.
The city's excellent public transportation system makes it easy and convenient to explore further afield, including visiting iconic landmarks like the Sagrada Familia or Park Güell, so no matter how long you choose to stay in this multifaceted city, there is always something new to discover.

Best Suited For: All AgesWhen it comes to exploring Barcelona with children and teenagers, there are plenty of exciting activities and attractions to keep them entertained and engaged. From interactive museums to thrilling parks, the city offers a wide range of options that cater to a variety of age groups and interests.
Speaking of catering to all ages and interests… one almost guaranteed crowd-pleaser is the Museu de la Xocolata – the chocolate museum – where you can get your hands messy with interactive workshops, learn about the history of chocolate-making, and, of course, sample some of the wears. One of our favourite things to do with children in Barcelona is the CosmoCaixa. This science museum provides a hands-on learning experience based around interactive exhibits, a planetarium, and its very own rainforest ecosystem – what more could you need for an educational adventure for the whole family?
Of course, the Barcelona Aquarium in Port Vell offers another great option for a family-friendly afternoon out and a captivating destination for marine enthusiasts of any age. Explore the underwater world through the Oceanarium tunnel, where you will encounter a diverse range of marine species. Kids can also participate in interactive workshops and learn about marine conservation.
If you prefer your animals a little more land-based, then Barcelona Zoo, situated within the verdant grounds of Parc de la Ciutadella, is home to a wide variety of animals from all around the world. Kids can enjoy observing animals such as elephants, giraffes, and dolphins, as well as participating in educational activities and shows. Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, Park Güell offers a whimsical and enchanting atmosphere filled with colourful mosaic sculptures, imaginative structures, and the dragon staircase that are all sure to fascinate children of all ages. Thanks to its elevated vantage point, the park also provides breathtaking views of Barcelona.
For a park of a slightly different kind, Tibidabo Amusement Park, situated atop Mount Tibidabo, offers a thrilling experience with a mix of classic and modern rides. From roller coasters to a vintage Ferris wheel, the park offers panoramic views of Barcelona along with fun-filled attractions for all ages, which combine to ensure some unforgettable family holiday memories (as well as some great snaps to remind you of your time in Barcelona).
Children, teenagers, and adults alike are sure to fall in love with the soft golden sands of Barceloneta Beach, not to mention the array of activities, attractions, and laid-back beach bars that line its shores – all of which are reachable with just a short drive or hop on the readily accessible public transport.
Furthermore, your hosts can provide a cot and highchair with prior notice, so even the littlest members of your party will be well catered for.
