Overview
Enjoying an elevated position on the side of the valley, this lovely modern villa is perfect for enjoying long sunny days beside the pool whilst admiring the spectacular views over the surrounding area and down to the sea.
Situated in a quiet residential area, the low-lying villa is traditionally constructed with whitewashed walls and a terracotta tiled roof that keeps the house cool throughout the summer months. Recently renovated, the interior is bright and spacious, with a beautiful terrazzo-style tiled floor running throughout and tasteful furnishings that introduce splashes of colour throughout the rooms.
Arranged across one level, Villa Melsu is well-proportioned with inviting spaces that make you feel immediately at home. The entrance opens into a large living area that offers a shared central space to enjoy throughout the day. To one side, a generous L-shaped sofa forms part of an informal seating area, inviting you to sit in comfort whilst a pair of armchairs positioned in front of the stone fireplace make a cosy spot during the winter months. Separated by a generous dining table, the well-equipped kitchen sits at the other end of the room. With sleek surfaces and a modern touch, there is plenty of space and amenities to prepare meals throughout your stay.
A doorway next to the kitchen leads through to the bedroom area, to three bright double rooms with two spacious bathrooms shared between them. All the rooms contain air conditioning, ensuring that you can enjoy a comfortable temperature even during the hottest summer nights.
From the living room, double doors lead out to the terrace, where a large seating area is positioned beneath the villa’s overhanging roof. Long, cushioned benches invite you to sit in comfort and read in the shade or sip an evening drink whilst enjoying the views. Wrapping around the front of the villa, the generous terrace opens up to a panoramic vista across the surrounding landscape and down to the Mediterranean coastline. A large pool is ideal for a swim, whilst a couple of sun-loungers welcome you to recline and enjoy the peaceful setting. There is also a shaded daybed and a large outdoor dining table perfect for hosting guests or having a family meal. Make the most of the balmy evenings by cooking dinner on the barbecue whilst the sun goes down, and enjoy long, entertaining nights under the stars.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa MelsuWhilst enjoying a wonderful perspective and peaceful setting, Villa Melsu is just a few minutes' drive to the coast and local amenities, making it easy to explore the best of the local area.
Once a small fishing village, the charming town of Moraira is just a 10-minute drive away. The Old Town is rich in history, where you can explore the charming cobbled streets, wandering between the narrow network of whitewashed houses. Stop in the central square to admire the Iglesia Fortaleza de Santa Catalina with its grand nave and beautiful interior, or walk out to the historic Watchtower that sits atop the Mount of Cap D'Or. Built in the 16th century, the circular tower occupies a strategic position providing spectacular views back to the bay and along the nearby coastline. Returning the the centre of town, a new marina plays host to a sailing club, and there are a number of waterfront restaurants where you can grab some lunch and watch the boats come into the moor. Head to locally-owned Pescador to enjoy some freshly grilled fish, or for more traditional Spanish tapas, seek out the lovely Terra Vian. Located in the Old Town near the castle, this charming wine bar is a wonderful place to spend the evening, with a lively atmosphere and friendly hosts, not to mention the superb collection of wines.
Moraira also has a number of options for enjoying the beach. The central Playa de l'Ampolla boasts a long stretch of golden sand, bordered by a small promenade and gentle shore that is great for families, whilst nearby El Portet offers a quieter spot with clear blue waters to swim and snorkel. Alternatively, drive 10 minutes up the coast to the stunning Cala del Portixol. Protected by the Cap Negre headland, the shell-shaped bay boasts a pretty white-pebbled beach and perfectly still, turquoise waters. Hire a kayak or paddleboard and explore the hidden coves or paddle out to the Isla del Portixol, a small island rich in flora and fauna and home to some important archaeological remains from Roman times. Charming white and blue barracas (old fisherman's houses) sit to the back of the beach, and the laid-back Cala Clemence is the perfect spot to enjoy fresh seafood and traditional Valencian dishes whilst taking in the view across the bay.
For a larger town, Calpe is just 30 minutes to the south with its distinctive Penon de Ifach mountain, or head north to Javea to enjoy plenty more beaches, as well as a vibrant nightlife and stunning old town.

Best Suited For: All AgesWith its generous outdoor terrace and large pool, Villa Melsu is a great place to spend a relaxing break with the family without having to leave the property. Enjoy long days beneath the sun, playing in the cool water and sharing long, leisurely lunches with a view, making the most of the barbecue and outdoor dining table.
The nearby beaches are within easy reach, and the local town of Moraira is great for young families. Playa de l'Ampolla offers a long stretch of golden sand, perfect for young children to play on the shore or paddle in the shallow water. Two beachside playgrounds provide further amusement, and a number of restaurants and cafes line the promenade, inviting you to find some shade whilst enjoying an ice cream. Take the children out to the Watchtower, perched on the Mount of Cap D'Or, or visit Moraira's impressive castle. Although the original fortress was destroyed, a reconstruction sits in its place, and you can explore the ramparts to see the drawbridge and moat.
Most of the surrounding beaches offer a number of water sports and boat excursions, or head up to Denia to enjoy a family challenge at the Parques Acuaticos. This huge inflatable obstacle course, with it's colourful slides and floating trampolines, is a fun way to spend the afternoon out on the water.
