Overview
Situated in a quiet residential area, this charming villa enjoys panoramic views across the surrounding valley, offering an idyllic spot to spend long sunny days beneath the Mediterranean sun.
Just a few minutes drive from the local town, Villa Puerto is a traditionally built Spanish villa. A charming stone courtyard offers a garage and parking area before leading through an arch in the wall to access the front of the property. Enclosed within a lovely Mediterranean-style garden with low stone walls and vibrant planting, the expansive terrace offers a feeling of seclusion and is perfect for enjoying days in the sun. The large pool is great for swimming lengths or just relaxing in the refreshing water, and a couple of sun loungers are well-positioned to recline beneath the blue skies. There is also further seating tucked beneath the overhang of the roof, providing a shaded spot to sit with a book or simply enjoy the view.
Opposite the pool is a lovely little annexe with a barbecue area, as well as a fridge and dishwasher. Fire up the grill and make the most of the balmy summer nights by cooking dinner for all the family and enjoying a long evening meal out on the terrace.
Set out across one level, the main living space is accessed beneath the covered terrace, where double doors lead to a series of bright and spacious interior rooms. A central dining area sits in front of the double doors, enjoying a view back towards the pool, whilst a large living room at the far end offers an assortment of seating to relax in. Bathed in natural light, the space is decorated with quirky furniture and ornaments, and there is a TV to one side, creating a cosy environment to settle in front of a movie on cooler days. The kitchen can be found on the other side of the dining area. The modern space is fully equipped to prepare meals throughout your stay, and there is an American-style breakfast bar to enjoy a morning coffee.
At the end of the house, the two bedrooms are brightly decorated with homely touches. There is one double room, whilst the other features two twins, and they both have access to a shared bathroom and shower. Both rooms contain air conditioning, ensuring you can enjoy a comfortable temperature during the hottest months.
What you should know…
- Although the pool has a manual cover, there is no fence, so young children should be supervised at all times
- Due to the villa's setting, a car is advised to make the most of the surrounding area
- It is worth noting if you are hosting that there is only one bathroom at the property

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa PuertoWhilst enjoying a peaceful setting on the side of the valley, the nearby coast is easily accessible, making Villa Puerto a great base to explore the charming with the charming town and beaches of Moraira.
Hop in the car, or enjoy an easy 30-minute walk to the centre, where you will find plenty of shops and cafes. Although becoming increasingly well-known, Moraira has a lovely Old Town with traditional whitewashed houses and narrow cobbled streets. The new marina plays host to a sailing club, and the waterfront is lined with restaurants and bars to stop at for a drink or some lunch. Head to locally-owned Pescador, where you can enjoy the daily activity of the harbour over a delicious plate of grilled fish. Alternatively, if you fancy some traditional tapas, seek out the delightful Terra Vian. Tucked in the Old town, this charming little wine bar has outdoor seating, friendly hosts and a superb collection of wines, making it a lovely place to spend the evening.
To enjoy the beach, Moraira has a number of delightful spots to offer. Playa de l'Ampolla is perfect for kids, with its long stretch of sand and gentle shore, whilst slightly to the north, the beautiful El Portet bay is known for its crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a swim or grab a snorkel and explore the sea bed. You can hire paddle boards and kayaks from the beach and explore the Jurassic-link cliffs and rocky inlets. It is possible to venture a little further and paddle around the headland to the hidden Cala Llebeigh. Once used as a refuge for fishing trips, this stunning cove takes its name from the pirates and smugglers that used it for trafficking goods. From El Portet, you can also access the short trail that leads out to the 16th-century watchtower perches atop the Mount of Cap D'Or. Walk along the cliff edge to visit the historic structure and enjoy the wonderful views back across the bay.
Whilst the surrounding coastline has plenty to explore, take a trip inland to admire the agricultural landscape and discover the region's lesser-known side. A 45-minute drive takes you past vineyards and orange groves and up a winding mountain road to Callosa d'en Sarria, where you can access the wonderful Fuentes del Algar. Wander beneath the shaded forest and explore the cascading waterfalls that spill into large natural pools, which you can sit beside to enjoy the tranquil setting. Brave the cold and swim in the larger sections and bring a picnic to enjoy on the neighbouring rocks. This unique spot is the perfect place to escape and spend a relaxed afternoon in nature.

Here’s some handy tips for the best eats, things to do with groups, family activities and the must-sees for Costa Blanca. You might need two weeks’ holiday after all….
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesWith its enclosed courtyard and substantial pool, Villa Puerto is great for spending a relaxing family break together, whilst the nearby coast offers lots to see and explore to keep everyone entertained.
The nearby town of Moraira offers a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, and the central Playa de l'Ampolla is perfect for young children. The long, golden sand stretches out along a gentle shore which is ideal for paddling in the shallow water. There are also two beachside playgrounds, well-maintained public facilities, and a handful of cafes and restaurants that make it easy to spend a relaxing afternoon beside the sea. Children will also love Moraira's castle, which sits near the waterfront in the old town. Although the original 18th-century fortress was destroyed, an impressive reconstruction sits in its place, complete with a drawbridge and moat.
The vibrant city of Benidorm is just 30 minutes drive down the coast, where there is plenty to do for the whole family. Head to the main harbour to take a boat trip across the bay to visit the Isla de Benidorm. Little ferry boats called golondrinas (swallows) depart regularly, and you can spend an afternoon out of the water whilst enjoying a different perspective along the coastline. Benidorm also features a number of adventure parks, such as the popular Aqualandia, with its extensive set of colourful slides, simulated pools and fun water activities for all ages.
