Looking out over the treetops to the vivid blue of the Mediterranean, Casa Willaume enjoys a quiet position on the hillside in the residential area of Serra Brava. Located only 15 minutes’ drive away from the Old Town of Tossa de Mar, 10-minutes from the lively streets of Lloret de Mar and a 30-minute walk from the sandy shores of Cala Canyelles – this location is hard to compete with!
Suitable for up to ten guests, Casa Willaume offers the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor living. The spacious living areas open out via elegant glass doorways to the villa’s beautiful balcony, bright terrace and charming al-fresco seating areas. With sunlight streaming in through the windows, the somewhat quirky, character-filled interiors of the villa feel bright and airy.
Separated into an apartment on the ground floor and the rest of the villa upstairs, the villa is well suited to two families travelling together, or several generations of one family that want a little extra privacy. The ground floor apartment is accessed by the pool, with glass doors swinging open from the sunny terrace to an open plan living space. A small kitchen and breakfast bar are located by the doors, with a cosy lounge positioned at the other end of the room. Modern furnishings in every room complement the exposed beams and traditional features of the building. Two bedrooms, a twin and a double, alongside a modern shower room, complete the ground floor.
The first floor offers three further bedrooms; two doubles and a twin, all with the same homely aesthetics. Our favourite part of the villa is the large open-plan living space on this floor, with its vast windows capturing the stunning sea views! You can curl up on the traditional sofas with a roaring fire in the colder months, gazing out to the blue azure of the Mediterranean. In the warmer months, a balcony wraps its way around the room, with plenty of seating so you can sit out in the sun for hours on end, mesmerised by the breath-taking views. There is a dining table in the same room and a fully equipped kitchen through an archway.
Outside, Casa Willaume offers a fabulous pool terrace. Kids and adults alike will love swimming in the refreshing pool, and relaxing on the adjacent sun loungers, finding plenty of time to enjoy the views!
What you should know…
- The villa is split into a separate apartment on the ground floor and the main living space on the first floor. This can suit two families travelling together perfectly, or two generations that want a little extra privacy.
- One of the twin bedrooms offers platform beds, in that there is no frame to stop little ones rolling out, so it is best suited to slightly older children.
- The upstairs décor is more traditional and homely with more modern style’s downstairs.

Cala Canyelles is a pretty stretch of the Costa Brava's coast with 500m of the characteristic coarse white sand and blue seawater, perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Umbrellas and deck chairs are available to rent, and for those who prefer a more active relaxation, activities like pedal boats, parasailing, water-skiing and canoeing are on offer! Our favourite part of this picturesque beach is the beachfront restaurant! Serving up delicious Mediterranean food, fish and paellas, you can easily sit there and relax for hours!
Whether you have visited the Costa Brava before or this is your first time, there is always something new to find, be it a new attraction to see, a town to explore or a beach to discover. Summer sees the towns alive with music events and festivities, whilst the winter months offer a more tranquil atmosphere, with amazing Mediterranean weather all year round.
Lloret de Mar, 3km away from the villa is known as one of the liveliest towns on the Costa Brava. With energetic bars, busy restaurants and a selection of famous beaches, this seaside town draws visitors throughout the year! Spanish guitar echoes through the streets, with frequent concerts and theatre, shows that you can book ahead of time to attend. We would recommend heading to one of the beachfront restaurants for an evening, enjoying a meal or even just a cocktail as you soak in the atmosphere. Lloret de Mar is also famous for its water park, one of the biggest in Europe and best in the region – we promise it won’t disappoint!
Tossa de Mar, a walled Medieval town, offers a different ambience, 6km from the villa. A little quieter, the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town offer a wonderful afternoon of exploring. You can climb the town walls, gaining beautiful views of the sea, before heading to a cosy tapas bar to taste some local food and wine.

Adrenaline rushing water sports, energetic water parks, blue-flag beaches and a myriad of other attractions await kids and are sure to delight! Casa Willaume is a fantastic base for a large family getaway or even two families travelling together. Sleeping 10, with three twin bedrooms for kids to share, children will love the spacious living areas and large private swimming pool! Wi-fi in the villa means they can keep up to date with friends back home, and teenagers can fill their social media with idyllic photos from your stay!
The closest beach, Cala Canyelles is great for kids. The coarse white sand allows them to run and play, with calm seawater to splash and swim in. The beachfront restaurant is used to younger customers and will happily accommodate kids, or you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst keeping an eye on your little ones as they play on the beach! Activities like pedal boats, parasailing, water-skiing and canoeing are on offer at the beach – keeping the most adventurous among your group very happy!
The energetic seaside town Lloret de Mar has something for everyone. Popular amongst young people for its vibrant night life and music scene, as well as with little kids for its fun beaches and fantastic water park. Water World is one the region’s largest, with twenty water slides, lazy rivers and an Olympic size pool, easily providing a full day of entertainment! Your youngest ones will love the nearby Gnomo Park, a fun forest adventure park with lots of games and lots of gnomes. Older children on the other hand are sure to be thrilled with an afternoon spent at Arbre Aventura. This woodland adventure park has zip lines, swing bridges and all sort of obstacles to keep them busy!
