Situated off the scenic back road from the picturesque bay of Tamariu, it is just 500m downhill to the picture-postcard waterfront. This rather luxurious villa has been methodically constructed to the highest of standards and has been built on one level, allowing it to flow seamlessly, creating a gloriously light and airy family living space.

From the light and airy open plan living/dining room, sliding doors lead straight out to the delightful private pool area where a covered terrace furnished with comfy outdoor loungers offers shade on hot summer days and an al-fresco dining area provides the ideal place to enjoy lazy lingering evening meals whilst overseeing the children as they play in the swimming pool.

With such fine accommodation and unrivalled views to enjoy, guests could be forgiven for not wishing to leave. Nevertheless, the nearby Medieval village of Begur is indeed a must-visit, and keen walkers will enjoy the abundance of coastal walks whilst the more adventurous may wish to try their hand at Scuba diving, a popular pastime along these shores, a tribute indeed to the water cleanliness and colourful marine life.

  • When in Spain (well, in this region anyway!), do as the Spanish do, and please observe the customary Siesta time between the hours of 2pm and 5pm
  • Remember your torch as you may well need it when strolling back from the restaurants late at night

According to the British Telegraph newspaper, the beach at Tamariu ranks as one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava. Embraced by pine-clad headlands, the horseshoe-shaped beach is very pretty, family-friendly and sheltered.

Just behind the beach is the pedestrian promenade, where there are some cafes, restaurants and beach gear shops. Parents can happily while away a little time in the shade, sipping whatever they fancy, with their children, only yards away from them, play safely on the sand.

It probably won’t be the first time you’ve heard of it, in this neck of the woods, but Tamariu was originally a small fishing village. It has definitely retained some of its charm and identity, and its beautiful south facing sandy bay offers a romantic destination for lovers. It’s also a good choice for families seeking a quieter Costa Brava resort.

The activity in the village will peak in August, but as yet there aren’t any English bars or breakfasts. Neither are their high-rise hotels on the landscape, only a blend of greens, blues and sandy shades with pretty whitewashed buildings in the foreground.

The villa is a lovely place for kids to hang out - teenagers and older children will love having their own space, while children of all ages will love swimming in the pool. The outdoors area all good to run around and play, will ensure many fun evenings!

The house is a beautiful family retreat in a quiet location but close to so many fun things to do together as a family, from exploring beaches to having dinner in the old town of Tamariu.

The town’s beach has fine sand and all the local amenities you could require, with boat rentals, restaurants and cafes within a few paces of the beach.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €2,000 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4 pm.
Departure time 10 am.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes and a daily cleaning service of 2 hours is also included. Please note that for stays less than 1 week, there will be a mandatory €100 supplement to pay via a link directly to the property manager. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Bed linen, bath and pool towels are included in the rental price.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
Changeover day Friday.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Not permitted.
Tax The tenants will need to pay a tourist tax of €0,90 per person per night for over 16's, not included in the rental price and will need to be paid prior arrival via a link direct to the supplier.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other Ts and Cs Cot and high chair available under request for an extra cost of €40 per item per week.
Other Ts and Cs Please be aware that guests will receive a link from Oliver's Travels 2 weeks before arrival to pay the security deposit and tourist tax and to supply guest details.
