Step inside and feel immediately more relaxed – thanks to the open, expansive-feeling spaces and abundant natural light courtesy of the large windows that allow the outside in. Moving through the stunning interior of this home, almost as much as being outside within its gorgeous grounds, is like taking a big breath of fresh, clean air because of the calm-inspiring monochromatic palette and the ever-present glass that allows the lovely views to become part of the living areas themselves.

On the ground floor, you will come first into the impressive, double-height hallway – the main feature is the floor-to-ceiling window and the futuristic-looking staircase.
This then leads seamlessly into the main living area: a huge open-plan space that houses a contemporary though comfortable seating area and fireplace, an elegant dining set for up to eight guests, and a beautiful, state-of-the-art kitchen complete with a stylish breakfast bar and the full range of high-end appliances which one would expect to find in a home of this superior quality. Slide the sleek glass doors open and step straight out onto the terrace and the infinity pool.

Also on the ground floor are two of the six bedrooms – including the glamorous yet understated main suite – each offers direct access to the lushly green garden and great views over it through the vast expanses of glass. There is an additional bedroom with a bathroom on the ground level, with a separate entrance for added privacy. The remaining bedrooms are found on the first floor, with their ensuite bathroom, two boasting captivating sea views, and private glass-paned balconies looking out over the landscape.

Given the lush greenery surrounding this home, you'd be forgiven for thinking you're positioned way out in the countryside. However, whilst this home does enjoy a quiet location within the gated community of El Madroñal, it is just a short drive away from the chic nightlife of Puerto Banús and the marvellous beaches of Marbella. Make your way down to the glittering coastline of the Costa del Sol and immerse yourself in the bright, colourful, and festivity-filled way of life here, where every sun-soaked day is a cause for celebration.

A great thing to do here (besides making our best starfish impression by lying horizontally on the soft golden sand beaches) is to walk through the town's beautiful marina. Here, not only will you find loads of great restaurants and bars filled to bursting with the Southern European jet-set, but also lots of pretty traditional architecture that creates a wonderful contrast with the ultra-luxurious mega yachts which bob on the azure waters – not to mention the veritable catwalk of the famous and the fashionable.

Should you fancy something a little more low-key, then Puerto Banús’ weekly market might be just the ticket. Held each week on Saturday in the square, you can snag a bargain on everything from clothes to carpets, antiques to accessories while mingling with locals out to enjoy their weekend. Then there are the golf courses for which the area is famous, as well as a wealth of hiking and biking trails crisscrossing the stunning countryside for those more actively inclined.

Despite the area’s reputation for glitz and glamour, this home – being slightly set back from the bustling coast – feels natural and effortless, offering a taste of the best of both sides of the Costa del Sol. It, therefore, allows you to make the most of the array of popular attractions and amenities which continue to draw crowds to these sun-drenched shores, including great golfing and shopping, whilst also affording you a taste of the tranquillity that pervades in the area’s hinterland.

The surrounding countryside is excellent for budding explorers as there are lots of walking and cycling trails through spectacular scenery – ideal if you want to get them outdoors and away from screens, increase their appreciation of nature, and knacker them out in time for bed. The nearby coast also presents the opportunity for a fun-filled family day out, as do the waterparks that dot the Costa.

Kids and teenagers will love the swimming pool, while the grassy areas in the wraparound garden mean little ones can run around and play.

The bedroom and bathroom suite with its separate entrance could work well for older teens looking for a taste of independence while still leaving you secure in the knowledge that they aren’t too far away and still very much part of the home.

Security deposit €2,000 charged to client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.

End of stay cleaning included? Extra €500, payable to Oliver's Travels with the balance payment. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
