About the surrounding area of Casa JoabCasa Joab is located just over 10 minutes away from the centre of Formentera, encouraging guests to explore everything that this outstanding area has to offer. One of the area’s most alluring landmarks is the Don Pedro Wreck, a titanic cargo ship that has been buried underwater for many years. Due to the extreme conditions, this ship is now covered in jagged rock formations and enticing coral. Yet, it is still able to showcase some of its original features and structures. As such, guests are encouraged to complete an inspiring scuba dive to the depths of the sapphire blue water to gain a much more unique glimpse of this cultural phenomenon. These tours are frequently carried out by an establishment known as Vellmari, which is based around 10 minutes away from the villa.
La Savina is a quaint and charming fishing village that can be found around 15 minutes away from Casa Joab. Known best for its vast harbour, this village collates some of the world’s most grandiose sailing boats and places them on a show for both tourists and locals to enjoy. Alongside its affluent nature, this village is also commended for its assortment of artisan boutiques and decadent native restaurants. During their time in this relaxing location, guests must enjoy a divine and transformative meal as they watch the small and delicate boats float along the calm water that sits close by.
This area is continuously praised for its immense selection of flawless beaches, such as the fantastic Es Migjorn beach. This beach is considered to be the longest in the entire region, providing guests with a tremendous amount of soft golden sand and crystal-clear water for guests to explore at their own pace. In turn, this is an ideal landmark to visit if you are looking to let your worries melt away as you listen to the soothing sound of crashing waves. Once you have examined this beach in full, be sure to take a short walk into the local town and soak up the energetic native culture. THE REGION

As much as Formentera is a top holiday destination it's also very popular for daytime excursions from Ibiza. It's easy to get around on a rented scooter or bike to explore the charming villages and beautiful beaches, followed by a stop to eat delicious Mediterranean food in one of the many excellent restaurants

If you are travelling with children with particularly adventurous appetites, you must encourage them to try a local delicacy known as Peix Sec de Formentera. This dish takes a variety of native skates and leaves them out to dry from one of the many Sabina trees that help to characterise this region. As such, this gives children a chance to push away from traditional fish and chips and gain a more authentic taste of this revolutionary region. This dish can be found across the town centre, allowing guests to enjoy a delicious meal before heading out to discover more of the local area.
The Sant Francesc Xavier Market is a true gem within Formentera and is based just under 10 minutes away from Casa Joab. This market places a lot of attention on local artists, allowing them to showcase their unique creations to a bustling collection of customers. Guests must browse through the range of art pieces and craft items on offer and pick up a few souvenirs to remind them of their time in this incredible region. In turn, guests can deepen their understanding of the area’s rich talent and how it impacts the entire art scene. The Sant Francesc Xavier Market welcomes guests every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm.
One of the area’s most iconic monuments is Cap de Barbaria, a tremendous lighthouse that stands an astounding 110 metres above sea level. Alongside its attractive look, this landmark is also well recognised for its role in the unforgettable film Lucio y el Sexio. This lighthouse is shown via Julio Medem’s photograph, making it a remarkable figure in real life and on the silver screen. Guests can take a short walk to the very top of this monument and bask in the array of amazing panoramic views that sit below.
