Overview
This beautiful villa is one of the few properties right on the beach - just five steps and you'll have your toes in the sand. The sprawling garden stretches right out to the coast, with several spots to take in the exquisite view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Sun umbrellas and loungers are placed here for maximum relaxation. There are exotic palm trees and vibrant flowers dotted around the garden, which is surrounded by a wall for maximum privacy. There is a stunning oval-shaped pool, where you can enjoy the gorgeous view as you swim peacefully. A raised platform behind the pool provides an additional space to soak up the sun.
The interiors of the villa are fresh and airy throughout, with lots of natural light. The living room is chic and cosy, with a grey corner sofa, several plush armchairs and a geometric-printed rug. There is a glossy white coffee table and a television, while framed art and beautiful woven lampshades add a touch of character to the space.
The kitchen is designed in a countryside style with a modern granite worktop, lots of wooden cupboards and a state-of-the-art fridge. Fully equipped for those who love to self-cater, this kitchen has plenty of space to prepare fresh meals. Dine indoors or in two spots in the garden - one is just outside the entrance and another is by the side of the house, shaded from the sun.
There are three bedrooms at this villa, with a double room, a room with twin beds and a bunk room with three beds - ideal for kids. The double room has pops of classic navy, a comfy armchair and starfish art. Decorated in a calming, unfussy style with white walls and wooden floors, the bedrooms provide a relaxing haven to come home to at the end of a busy day. One of the bathrooms has a hydromassage shower, and the other has a bathtub. In the corridors, there are striking sculptural wooden art pieces.
What you should know…
- The bunk room is perfect for kids but might be a little crowded for adults
- The swimming pool steps are made of metal and could get slippery when wet

Location
About the surrounding area of Paragueiros by the SeaWith its enviable position right by the sea, this villa is perfect for those in need of a relaxing break. It's less than 10 minutes' drive to the town of Baiona and 1.5km from Mougás, a charming village home to the Pozas de Mougás - natural waterfalls hidden within a lush forest setting. There are also 4000-year old petroglyphs here from the Roman era.
Baiona is a popular holiday spot for locals - take a walk around the charming fishing town and walk to Cape Sillero lighthouse for a great view of the coast. Baiona is famous for its many traditional fresh seafood brasseries. The villa is within the Oia area, which stretches along the coast with lots of greenery, where wild horses roam among the mountains.
Close to Portugal, this area has the Fortalera de Monterreal, a fortress that is shrouded in pine trees and contains lots of ruins. There is a superb hiking trail that takes about 40 minutes to complete - perfect for the whole family. Horse riding is a popular activity here - sign up for a lesson and go cantering through the countryside with an instructor.
Take a trip to Ruta Maxica de Oia, a lovely park with nature trails, waterfalls and a rocky landscape. There are 10 natural viewpoints in this park, so take a walk and enjoy the view. Playa America is one of the most well-known beaches in the area, with powdery golden sand and all the usual amenities. It's great for a stroll, stopping off at beach bars and cafes along the way.
For some dazzling white sand beaches with crystalline water, take a trip to the Cies islands. Part of Galicia National Park, the islands of Monteagudo, Faro and San Marino are only accessible by ferry. Advance booking is recommended, as only a limited number of people can visit the islands each day for conservation reasons. The most famous beach is Rodas, but there are several other postcard-worthy shorelines to explore. Guests can also go hiking and camp overnight on the islands.
For those who want to experience a buzzing Galician city, take a day trip to youthful, lively Vigo. Get amazing 360-degree views of the city from the Castro Fortress, which was built in the 17th century to guard Vigo from intruders. Vigo is also famous for fresh seafood, thanks to its busy fish market. Oysters are a speciality and caught in the local Estuary - head to the street known as Rua de las Ostras to locals to sample some.

About the Region & Getting There
About Galicia
Like many parts of Spain, Galicia has its very own identity that has remained intact through its regional dialect and distinguishing culture. Although Galicia is recognised for its holy traditions, we urge budding tourists to also consider its astonishing green countryside & rivers and its UNESCO World Heritage sites. Occasionally you may even hear the gentle tootling of bagpipes, known locally as the Galician Gaita, along this northern corner of the Iberian Peninsula.
You're likely to fly into Santiago de Compostela, which is the capital of Galicia and is probably best known for the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and its route. Many of the travellers embark on this journey by foot and tend to be mesmerised by this fine city at the end of their trek. Casco Viejo, or the Old Town, is a good place to end or even start your holiday. This area of the city is blessed with markets, restaurants, bars and buildings from a bygone era. After exhausting yourself in the busyness of the city, take a day trip to Praia de Rodas, on the gorgeous Cíes Islands. These small islands, accessible by boat from Vigo, Baiona, or Cangas, have been noted as having some of the best beaches in the world. It has to be seen to be believed!
Galicia is divided into four key regions: A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and our favourite – Pontevedra. A Galician proverb states that 'Pontevedra gives water to travellers'. We firmly believe this to be true, as this particular part of Galicia has everything a traveller could need for an unforgettable experience and it almost feels like this city is constantly giving back. Whilst you holiday in Pontevedra you will realise that days are structured around mealtime. And why wouldn't they be? With some of the best seafood you will experience in Spain and the noteworthy Albariño wine, you may notice your jeans feeling a little tighter toward the end of your holiday. You will be glad to know that your waistline need not be a cause for concern though! Pontevedra is blessed with some of the best hiking trails, medieval monasteries, estuaries, and valleys within Spain. Don't forget about the coastline either! Rarely you will you find so many empty beaches, so make the most of this privacy and just embrace the nature around you.
Galicia is still an unspoilt part of the world. It has everything a diverse group of friends & family need to have a glorious adventure.
Getting There
Galicia is served by either Santiago de Compostela Airport, A Coruña Airport, or Vigo Airport. Various train lines connect the main cities and towns of Galicia to other destinations in Northern and Central Spain (and even Portugal). There are also vairous coach routes that you can take throughout the region and to other cities in Spain.
From the UK:
Direct flights are available from London with easyJet, Ryanair, Vueling, and many others. Although, travellers should be aware that Vigo Airport only receives domestic flights, so a stopover is needed if you wish to travel to this airport. Chartered flights are also available from several other UK airports.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThis villa is ideal for kids - they'll love the private pool and looking out at the amazing ocean views. The garden is enormous, with a spacious lawn in front of the house where they can roam free and play together. The bunk room is also well suited for kids - it'll be just like a week-long slumber party. Oia is a peaceful and family-friendly location that children will adore.
Beach days are always popular with kids - beyond the beach that is moments from the villa, Playa America with its soft golden sand is great for a stroll with the kids - there are places to grab snacks and drinks and sun loungers for rent. However, the waves may be too intense for swimming. Children will be enthralled by the Cies Islands - they have truly stunning unspoilt beaches with dazzling azure waters.
In Vigo, kids can visit the Naturnova, an environmental education centre focused around Earth, space and the environment. It explores the relationship between humans and the natural world and explores how to be more eco-conscious. Vigo itself is well-suited to older children and teenagers who can go street art spotting and enjoy the buzz of the city. There are also plenty of urban beaches that kids will adore, and the park where Castro Fortress is has a great children's playground.
Horse riding is a popular activity in Oia, where wild horses roam around the mountains. Kids can sign up for a lesson, visit the Mougás river pools and ride along the coastal roads with an experienced instructor. Additionally, older children can take part in hiking around the area, such as the Ruta Maxica de Oia and Pozas de Mougás. As the waterfalls and viewpoints are quite well hidden within the forestry, little ones might struggle walking here.

We Will Return!
Magnificent house. The photos on the website do not do the house justice. Super comfortable, super equipped, with sea views from all places, swimming pool, barbecue... Everything close to see Galicia... Unquestionably the best we have been to (and we have been to many). Regarding the reservation processes, arrival, etc. all perfect. Not a but. As for Galicia Holidays, perfect. The communication, the attention, the trip to Cíes that they organized for us... Everything was very good. Special mention to Patricia, very nice, attentive, decisive. Thank you!!! Summary: 10/10. We will repeat!!!!

We had a great time at the villa. It is spacious, very comfortable and clean. The property contains everything we could expect for and more and everything was in good working order. It is perfect for a retreat in a quiet environment with a greatview of the sea and the possibility to walk alongside on the rocks. We had a great welcome and really appreciated the effort and support to communicate with us in English.
