Pool Villa/House Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids On-Street Parking

Alca Paradiso is a fabulous choice for 2 families wanting to holiday together but possibly enjoying a little time with their own individual families. This wonderful villa is situated in the tranquil residential area of Alcanada. Close by are the famous Alcanada Golf Club, stunning beaches and excellent restaurants.

The dazzling beach and harbour of Alcudia with all of its buzzy bars, restaurants and cafes are just 2 km away (by foot). Alca Paradiso is located on a hilltop, surrounded by a beautiful, well-maintained garden with exotic Mediterranean plants and swaying palm trees. It is a fantastic spot!

The villa boasts a large infinity pool which is framed by a lovely terrace with alfresco dining and an outdoor lounge area, the perfect place to relax with a game of cards or a few pre-dinner drinks.

On the ground floor, the accommodation includes a bright and airy living room with two large sofas and access through three massive glass doors to the terrace. The living space is open plan with the dining and kitchen areas. There is also a breakfast bar. The space is very spacious and comfortable. Also, on the ground floor are 2 spacious bedrooms with double beds.

Upstairs there is another open plan, split-level living and dining area. Again the full wall of doors and windows make it incredibly bright and cheerful. The bright kitchen has another smaller breakfast table. This floor has an excellent, large balcony with alfresco dining. The sea views are astounding. Each of the 2 bedrooms has twin beds, and again, there are 2  bathrooms to share.

Alcanada has a rugged stretch of coastline with dazzling, turquoise waters and its own island lighthouse. The famous Alcanada Golf Club boasts spectacular views of the sea and lighthouse from almost all of its 18 holes. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, who has designed more than 250 courses around the world. There are a further 17 golf courses on Mallorca, including San Gual just outside of Palma and the amazing T-Golf and Country Club.

Alcanada is on the Bay of Alcudia. The silver sanded beaches of Alcudia stretch way into the distance and behind is the fabulous Natural Park S’Albufera. It is the Balearic’s largest and most important marshland with a huge variety of flora and fauna, lagoons and wild streams as well as signposted cycling and hiking paths.

There is an audiovisual display room where you can listen to the birdsong. Birdwatchers visit from all over Europe to see rare migrants including Montagu’s harriers and Eleanora’s falcons. Stonechats, moustached warblers and the long-eared owl all breed in the park. Ospreys leave their breeding sites on the cliffs to come to the reserve to fish.

If you can drag yourselves away from the beaches and the golf course, the majestic mountain range and picturesque hilltop villages make for a great day out. The winding roads lead to dramatic scenery and a wonderful sense of seclusion. There are amazing hiking and cycling opportunities. Soller, Valldemossa and Deia are all beautiful and atmospheric. Fornalutx is an idyllic stone-built village in the foothills of Puig Major.

The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range covers about 30% of the island’s territory. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is covered with terraces, water mills and dry-stone buildings and planted with olive trees, almond trees, oranges, tomatoes and vines. Deia is beautiful and hosts an annual International Festival of Deia, dedicated to chamber music. It is very popular with the rich and famous.

THE REGION

The vibrant northern town of Alcúdia is truly a year-round location, offering life, history and culture throughout all seasons. Lying just one kilometre inland from the famous holiday resort of Port d’Alcúdia, it’s the ideal place to taste rich Mallorcan heritage without having to stray too far off the beaten path.

The pedestrian area offers inviting restaurants, cafés with beautiful terraces and cosy backyards, handicraft shops, stylish boutiques and Mallorcan specialities. Stroll by medieval houses, the proud town hall and the so-called Casas Señoriales, the majestic houses of past nobility. Here and there, you get a glimpse of one of the big, shady patios and time, and again you reach the outer rim of the town wall.

Adventurous children will love La Reserva Galatzo. It is a fascinating nature reserve deep in the Tramuntana mountains with a wonderful adventure park with opportunities to rock climb, pass swinging bridges, whizz down the zip wire and slide down canyons. You will see a variety of wildlife including goats, ostriches, emus, deers, wild donkeys and peacocks in the reserve.

The bird of prey displays is on twice every day in the summer. There is a barbecue area where you can have a meal. If that is not enough fun, Santa Ponsa has a fabulous treetop adventure park set in 9 hectares of lush pine forest. There are 3 different circuits with 123 platforms, bridges, swings, ladders and zip lines right next to the beach.

There are several places where you can arrange some horse riding, even on the beach. It is such great fun and will leave you will lovely holiday memories. Ranxo Ses Roques is one company in Alcudia. The one-hour excursions take you through the woods and the bottom of the mountain of Santi Marti in Alcudia and the 2-hour excursion takes you up the mountain Puig de Sant Marti where you can enjoy the views of Alcudia Bay.

They also have ponies for very young children where they will be led around the paddock. Their petting zoo is fun as children can feed the goats, pigs, sheep, cows and donkeys. The small museum of old farming tools will take you back in time. If you want to try some bitless riding, Hipica Formentor offers this in Sa Pobla, not far from Alcudia.

Some of the best beaches in Mallorca for families are Cala Agulla, Formentor, Puerto Pollensa, Alcudia and Cala Mesquida. The Bay of Alcudia is Mallorca’s longest stretch of beach. The flat beach, shallow turquoise water and wide array of watersports make it very popular. In total there are 262 beaches with a total length of 50km!
