An historic 13th-century villa located in Banyalbufar, Deluxe Bala offers guests the chance to truly relax in this incredible property. The exposed brickwork and alluring arches make the exterior of this property stand out for miles. Deluxe Bala also includes an expansive swimming pool measuring 12 x 5.5m, giving each guest enough space to truly relax in the warm waters. Nestled right next to the Tramuntana mountain range, the property offers breathtaking views that provide a genuine sense of retreat.
When you first enter the property, you’ll find a stylish and inviting lounge area enhanced by a selection of appealing paintings and decorations, adding a distinctive character to the villa. The dining area includes a simple circular table with rattan chairs, providing a clean contrast to the vibrant decor. A few plants in these open spaces bring a touch of freshness and vitality to the villa and books and games are also provided for entertainment. The kitchen combines modern and traditional elements with elegant design details, such as sleek marble countertops that complement the bright white cupboards, and a large breakfast bar in the center offering a space for morning meals and conversation.
Spread over three floors, Deluxe Bala accomodates up to eight guests across four bedrooms. The first bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, the second bedroom can be configured with either a king-size bed or two singles, ideal for children or those who prefer separate beds and the third bedroom, located in the villa’s exclusive turret, offers a four-poster king bed for a unique experience. The fourth bedroom, on the lower ground level, also includes a king bed that can be split into twins. Additionally, there’s a comfortable day bed for relaxing while watching TV.
Outside, guests have access to a tennis court in-resort, with racquets and balls provided, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, including by the pool. Daily housekeeping is provided, along with a pool and garden attendant who sets up the pool and outdoor furniture each day.
A concierge service is available to help arrange car hire, bike hire, boat or yacht hire, taxi services, spa and beauty treatments, and restaurant bookings, and a laundry service is available, though dry cleaning is not. For guests who wish to make the most of all the resort has to offer can make use of the on-site transfer service provided for ultimate ease and convenience.

About the surrounding area of Deluxe BalaAlthough Deluxe Bala is located on a secluded estate, it is only a 15-minute drive away from the incredible town of Banyalbufar. This quaint town offers a plethora of shops and bars for guests to explore, ensuring that they make the most of all of the local businesses.
For those wishing to dive deep into the Spanish culture during their trip, Sa Bassa Blanca is the ideal spot. This modern art museum is found in the beach town of Alcudia, less than an hour and a half away from the town centre of Banyalbufar. This intuitive attraction brings together the art of Yannick and Ben Jakober, showing off their immersive art style. The museum first opened back in 1993 and has been praised by previous guests ever since. The building itself is an astonishing sight and was designed by the acclaimed architect Hassan Fathy in 1978. The general admission fee for this attraction starts at just €10, and children under six can enter for free.
Mallorca is home to some of Spain’s most historic landmarks, including the outstanding Bellver Castle. This castle is branded as unique due to its unusual circular shape. There are also a collection of arches that surround the interior, creating the most beautiful view. Bellver Castle is just a 45-minute drive away from Banyalbufar, creating an accessible tourist destination that cannot be missed. Inside Bellver Castle is the engaging Plama Historical Museum, allowing tourists to discover more about Spain’s ancient history. Tickets for this attraction are very reasonable. General admission costs just €4, and children under 14 can enter for free. Plus, there is no charge on Sundays.
Some of the key events in history occurred right in Mallorca, making this the perfect place to explore. In the small region of Alaro, you will come across the first electrical tower. This is a monumental landmark as it signifies the first electrical supply in a municipality. The tower was first built in 1901 by brothers Gaspar and Josep Perelló Pol. In 2001, the tower underwent a colossal renovation in order to celebrate its 100th anniversary. This is a unique attraction that should not be missed by any history lover.

THE REGION
Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Tramuntana mountain range, this quaint Mallorcan district nestles among four smaller peaks, where scattered farms and vineyards scale the heights around the historic town centre.
As well as winding village streets and historic agricultural systems, there is the working fishing port of Es Port de Canonge and a number of coves and beaches for sunbathing and swimming. These include Cala Banyalbufar, Es Corral Fals and Son Bunyola.
For guests who enjoy a spot of retail therapy, Banyalbufar provides an assortment of high-quality shops, bars, and restaurants to help you make the most of your time during your stay. You can travel through the town’s shopping district, taking in its ancient textile industry, known for building world-renowned brands such as Barratts, Lotusse, and Camper. In fact, this area is best known for its plethora of local products, including artisan wines. Guests are encouraged to visit Son Vines Wine Cellar and Bar to test out their wide range of locally-sourced wines.

The staff at Deluxe Terra also offers a unique babysitting service for families with babies or toddlers. This service provides high-quality meals and drinks for your child as well as a collection of toys for them to play with.
If your child is looking to ignite their sense of adventure, they will love exploring the many beautiful caves found in Mallorca. Cuevas del Hams translates to Fish Hook Caves due to the stalactite and stalagmites that have formed a fish hook shape over time. These caves are located in Manacor, which is around 90-minutes away from Banyalbufar town centre. The caves were discovered by Pedro Caldentey Santandreu, who later implemented a range of faculties. As such, Santandreu transformed the caves into the much-loved tourist destination that we see today. Previous guests consider Cuevas del Hams the perfect cave if you are looking for a more peaceful and less crowded experience. Tickets are fairly reasonable, with each one costing €19.
Mallorca is also well-known for its range of impeccable nature reserves, allowing children to see a wide variety of ecosystems in a new light. Mondrago Park can be found less than an hour and a half away from Banyalbufar and offers a plethora of sights to engage your child’s senses. The location was first declared a nature reserve in 1992 and has been a popular attraction ever since. Here, children will have the chance to explore multiple species, including Crossbills, Firecrests, and Nightingales. There are also two incredible beaches located within this park known as s’Amarador and Cala de n’Alis. Mondrago Park includes a large car park, making it easy to travel to and from this landmark. This park is free to enter, and there is a cafeteria on-site that sells a range of food and drink options for guests to enjoy.

There are two fabulous restaurants available to guests in the Hotel: Sa Terrassa and Sa Tafona. Sa Terrassa is the Hotel’s main restaurant is available all year round and is recommended to book in advance. With sweeping sea views, Sa Terrassa aims to highlight the beauty and vibrancy of Mediterranean cuisine, pairing Mallorca’s flavours with a range of local, national, and international wines.
Located in the historic olive press, Sa Tafona showcases a mix of Spanish tapas and international street food created with locally sourced ingredients to highlight the creativity and diversity in the dishes. Each tapa is carefully created and though through, so you are sure to leave feeling satisfied and inspired!
Sa Terrassa also benefits from a private dining room that guests can request to use for small groups, and there are several spots across the hotel that are perfect for private dining for two!

Wellness
Each of the villas at Son Bunyola benefit from an outdoor heated pool (please see the T&Cs) and there is also the spa available to guests. The team at the estate have joined with local spa specialists Gaia Natural Products to create a wide range of spa treatments using natural and locally grown ingredients (think flowers, herbs, olive and almond oils!). Whilst there are two treatment rooms in the hotel, including a couples’ treatment room, guests can also request to have the treatments in the comfort of the villa (at an additional charge).
The list of treatments is never ending, from deep tissue massages to body scrubs and more, but we really recommend their signature treatment: The Magic of the Olive Tree. Inspired by the bountiful olive tree, this session utilises all of the good bits of the olive tree to exfoliate, nourish, and revitalise your skin, leaving you with a glowing complexion!
