Located in the peaceful countryside of Pollensa, Finca Tirana is the perfect getaway for families or groups looking for comfort and privacy. Surrounded by lush greenery and with views of the Tramuntana mountains, the villa is just a short drive from Pollensa town and the beaches of Cala San Vicente. 

This six-bedroom villa offers plenty of space, with comfortable bedrooms and a large open-plan living and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals, which you can enjoy indoors or outside on the covered terrace. There is one double bedroom with an en-suite on the ground floor, ideal for those who don't want to climb stairs, and the other five bedrooms can be found on the first floor.

The outdoor area is a highlight, featuring a private swimming pool (10 x 6 m) with sun loungers, a barbecue, and a shaded dining space for relaxed meals. The well-kept gardens provide plenty of room to unwind, whether you want to read, enjoy a coffee, or take in the views.

Finca Tirana is situated just under 10 minutes away from the centre of Pollensa, an area that has built a positive reputation due to its alluring landmarks and charming atmosphere. One of the region’s most popular attractions is Puig de Maria, which can be found around 5 minutes away from the villa. This monument is based at the very top of a 330-metre summit and is home to a quaint 14th-century monastery that was once used as a devoted shrine to the Virgin Mary. Although the monastery was forced to close in 1564, it finally reopened in 1638 and continues to be a significant element of the local culture. In addition, many previous guests have noted that it only takes around half an hour to climb to the top of this peak, making it an accessible hike for most guests.
 
For those eager to rekindle their sense of adventure during their time in this area, a trip to Alzinaret Caves is a must-do activity. These caves were first discovered by British archaeologist Wilfred Hemp back in 1927 but actually dated all the way back to 1600 BC. Thus, this is a perfect attraction to visit if you wish to examine artefacts from the Middle Bronze Age from an entirely unique perspective. With around 14 caves to discover, guests are free to observe and examine each structure at their own pace. There is even a selection of benches located outside of the caves for guests who do not feel comfortable going inside. Alzinaret Caves are based just a stone’s throw away from Finca Tirana.
 
The Pollensa Market is a deeply bustling attraction that is packed full of over 300 stalls. Thus, guests now have the chance to pick up a range of alluring souvenirs to show off back home, such as artisan bags, clothes, and jewellery. This market is also home to an abundance of locally-grown produce, including fresh fruit and vegetables. As such, guests are free to purchase a few ingredients to use in their own cooking back at the villa. Thus, this is a must-visit attraction for those looking to immerse themselves deeper into the native atmosphere. The Pollensa Market is located just over 5 minutes away from the villa and takes place every Sunday from 8 am to 1:30 pm.

THE REGION

Nestled on the far northwest coast, Cala Sant Vicenc is part of the municipal district of Pollenca and is more or less halfway between the town of Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca. Originally a fishing village, the town of Cala Sant Vicenc has several small bays with rugged and dramatic rocks and cliffs. The main attraction here is the tranquillity and the collection of small beaches.

The three small beaches in Cala Sant Vicenc, with their crystal clear seas, are particular favourites for both locals and tourists visiting the area. Cala Molins is the largest of the three and is, therefore, the hot spot for summer sunbathers. The smallest, Cala Clara, is a pebbled beach not ideal for sunbathing but is often a good place to snorkel and find crabs hiding in the rocks.

Pollensa is also teeming with a wide array of attractions, making it an ideal holiday destination for children. The Pollensa Museum is a key attraction for modern art lovers as it is well known for holding the works of Atilio Boveri. Despite its contemporary legacy, it was once used as a simple storage unit for a collection of stunning Gothic altarpieces. These items were even commended at the prestigious Summer Exhibition of Painting, which occurred in the 1960s. The museum finally opened its doors to the general public in 1975 and has now grown into a deeply significant cultural landmark. The Pollensa Museum can be found just under 10 minutes away from Finca Tirana and welcomes guests Monday-Friday from 10 am to 2 pm.
 
If you wish to embark on a sightseeing tour with a twist, a trip to Formentor Lighthouse is a real treat. This iconic monument was first constructed in 1863 as an intuitive way to guide small fishing boats away from the sharp and jagged rocks that can be found at the base of the shore. Alongside its useful purpose, this lighthouse was also seen as a keen source of creative inspiration, especially with prolific figures such as Gerardo Diego and Blas de Otero. As such, guests must take a short drive toward the peak of the monument as they marvel at the exquisite views that sit below. Formentor Lighthouse is based just under 40 minutes away from the villa.
 
The Joan March Gardens is a truly idyllic landmark that can be found around 10 minutes away from Finca Tirana. These gardens were first formed in the late 1980s as a way to celebrate the tireless work of the March family, an admirable tribe that helped to spur this sleepy town into a prosperous economic boom. This landmark is filled with beautiful fauna and horticulture, including slim cypress trees, which can often be seen on the town’s traditional coat of arms. As such, guests now have the chance to detach from the hustle and bustle of normal life and truly reconnect with the wonders of nature.
