Overview
If you’re looking for the best of both worlds when it comes to a holiday villa: peace and privacy, yet just a stone’s throw away from bars, restaurants and other amenities, look no further than Casa Izaro. Situated high above the town of Pollensa in a quiet cul-de-sac, this beautiful, authentic townhouse really does have it all. Crafted from traditional Mallorcan stone and gloriously modernised to offer the utmost in comfort and luxury over two storeys, Casa Izaro is the perfect setting for a Mediterranean holiday to remember.
Sleeping up to four guests across two bedrooms, this stylish rustic villa is sure to impress with its chic, whitewashed walls, sprays of exposed stone, and glorious floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the interior with light. The decor throughout is incredibly easy on the eye, with a contemporary fusion of black and white, with locally hand-woven textiles adding warm pops of colour. The living area features exposed ceiling beams in a soft grey, and comfortable designer furnishings, all complemented by luxurious ceramics and glassware. Home-from-home comforts include a flat-screen satellite TV, WiFi, air conditioning throughout, and underfloor heating on the ground floor.
The kitchen/diner is large and well-planned out, with plenty of space for preparing family meals, a large dining table and all of the modern appliances you would expect. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms with ensuite facilities - both decorated in the same light, fresh shades as the ground floor and featuring stylish, modern furniture. The master bedroom features a double bed, chest of drawers, armchair, wardrobe and writing bureau, as well as an ensuite shower room. From the master bedroom, you have direct access to the terrace and garden - the perfect place for enjoying a morning coffee or perhaps a glass of bubbly as the sun sets. The second bedroom has twin beds, with the ensuite offering both a bath and a shower.
Casa Izaro has a stunning terraced garden that offers incredible views of the Tramuntana Mountains. We highly recommend packing a good book in your suitcase and spending a relaxing day in the sun, perhaps while enjoying some locally-produced Mallorcan wine! The real gem in Casa Izaro’s crown is its private pool, where you can enjoy a cooling dip while taking in those gorgeous mountain views.
What you should know…
- There are no ground floor bedrooms, so Casa Izaro might not be an ideal choice for those with mobility issues
- In late July the Moors and Christians festival takes place, culminating in a carnival on August 2nd, so you can expect loud music and celebrations into the night
- The private pool is accessible via a ladder rather than steps, which could prove more difficult for young children
- We recommend renting a car to get around easier and to see the surrounding region

Location
About the surrounding area of Casa IzaroThe ancient town of Pollensa is one of Mallorca’s most beautiful towns, thanks to its winding cobbled lanes and historic architecture. This former fishing village offers several cultural sites, including the Roman bridge, ‘Pont Roma’, and the Puig de Pollensa, a small mountain that is topped by a monastery that can be found just outside the town.
Casa Izaro is just a short distance away from Pollensa’s central square, where you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to bars and restaurants offering everything from traditional Mediterranean fare such as Tumbet (a vegetarian dish of aubergines, potatoes, red peppers, garlic, tomatoes and love oil), to fresh seafood dishes, salads, steaks, tapas and burgers.
In August, the town hosts a lively battle reenactment, and the Santo Domingo Cloisters in the city centre is the venue for the open-air concerts that make up part of the Pollensa Music Festival during the summer months. Every Sunday, a traditional market is held in the square offering fresh local produce and traditional fare, which is not to be missed! Another little gem that deserves a visit during your stay is Museo Dionis Bennassar, the home of a local artist that is now used to showcase his incredible works. This peaceful and inspirational place is the perfect spot for art lovers, as well for anyone who wants to enjoy some quiet contemplation while soaking up some local culture.
A Mediterranean holiday simply wouldn’t be complete without a day at the beach, and Pollensa has plenty to choose from. Puerto Pollensa beach is undoubtedly the most popular with families and has great amenities such as umbrella rental, sports facilities and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. For those looking for a little more peace and seclusion, D’Albercruix beach is ideal, while Can Cap Bou beach is a must if you enjoy watersports - and is especially popular with kite surfers. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the walking opportunities afforded by Cala Boquer beach. This beautiful beach, with its crystal clear waters and mountainous surroundings, is popular with those who want to do more than just lay around soaking up the sun.

THE REGION
Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.
The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesCasa Izaro offers plenty of high-tech entertainment for the kids, with satellite TV and WiFi available throughout the villa. There is also fully air conditioning for comfort and underfloor heating downstairs for little feet on chilly mornings. The twin room with ensuite is ideal for kids, although older kids or teens might not enjoy having to share!
A private pool is always going to be popular with children, and although it's raised on one side, it is at ground level on the other, so parents will want to be vigilant. It's also worth noting that the pool is accessible by a ladder that goes down into the water rather than steps. There are several sets of stone steps outside leading from the villa to the pool area and to the terrace so, again, little ones will need to be well-supervised.
Pollensa is home to several family-friendly beaches, and although these can get quite busy during the summer months, most are large enough that you'll be able to find a quiet spot to enjoy as a family. Puerto Pollensa beach becomes especially fun for children during the summer months with the addition of an inflatable playground in the sea. If you head into the town itself with the kids, you'll be pleased to know that there are plenty of places to stop for light refreshments, as well as restaurants offering dishes that will suit even the fussiest eaters - with the majority in the area having good-sized children's menus. This charming former fishing village isn't huge, with everything accessible on foot (so it shouldn't be too tiring for the little ones!), and is much quieter than some of the other tourist hotspots.
Along the seafront, there are some good, shaded playgrounds that offer something a little different for the children after a day of sea and sand, as well as ice-cream parlours for a delicious afternoon treat.
Glass-bottom boat excursions are popular with visitors here and is something that is sure to delight the children! There are several trips available from Pollensa and are a chance to check out the fish and explore one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca - Formentor, home of the famous lighthouse. Some of the boat trips offer extras such as snorkelling or fishing - with lunch included! - so, it's well worth setting aside a day during your holiday to enjoy this unique experience.

Loved it
Loved it. Think the shower pressure could be better in the shower cubicle or even a bigger shower head ( rain shower ) but apart from that everything was great.Suggestions - Provide full length mirror, towels for sun loungers, a safe 2nd sun umbrella for dining table on 1st terrace, note of where the taxi rank is.

We will definitely come back
The house is absolutely beautiful, well equipped and the location is perfect. Your crew is really perfect. Although we didn't had any problem during our stay, we are convinced that it would have been solved by your team immediately. We visit Pollenca since a few years and this was the best house we ever had. Thanks for a great holiday and we will definitely come back.

Perfect town house
There is simply nothing negative to say about this house. The location and the facilities are perfect. We have been to Pollenca several times and this is the house we have liked the most. We would book it again anytime.

Lovely town house
This is a lovely town house in a great situation in Pollenca - less than 10 mins from the square and bottom of the Calvari Steps. Various terraces and small but lovely pool make tis a thoroughly relaxing place to stay.
