THE REGION
The quiet and idyllic resort of Binibeca is a very popular smaller resort on the beautiful south coast of Menorca and is a perfect choice for holidaymakers wanting to escape the noise and crowds of other more developed areas. You will not find any skyline-destroying hotels or large holiday complexes here, most accommodations being in private villas and apartments.
Today, Binibeca stretches 3 km along the coast and includes the original ‘Binibèquer Vell’, or an old portion, as well as the new portion of ‘Binibèquer Nou’- a natural progression with many of the homes and villas in keeping with the original design. At the very eastern point of Binibeca, you will also find Cala Torret, a small village which feels separate but is actually part of it.

It was also once considered to be the tallest lighthouse in the entirety of the Balearic Islands until it was replaced by Moscarter Lighthouse in 1977. In order to visit this lighthouse, guests must travel by boat to Illa de l’Aire. Guests can catch these boasts very regularly from Punta Prima, which is just 10 minutes away from the centre of the region. As such, this is an incredible monument to visit if you are looking to learn more about the inner workings of this simple town.
