- There are handrails leading into the pool for easy access, but as there is no fence around the pool children must be well supervised

THE REGION
The resort of Son Bou in the municipality of Alaior, on the south coast of Menorca, is renowned for having the biggest and probably best beach on the island. The resort is located around 20 kilometres from the international airport at Mahon.
Son Bou is a well-developed area containing many restaurants offering a good range of British, Indian, Chinese and Mediterranean dishes, as well as numerous bars, some of which are themed to help entertain young ones.
While the resort is very popular for families, the sheer size of the beach makes it easy for those who prefer to avoid the little ones to find their ideal spots! There is an abundance of natural sand dunes that make a very pleasant backdrop.

Best Suited For: All AgesSon Bou is full of exciting attractions, making it a great holiday spot for families looking for fun. One of the best places to visit is Club San Jaime, a fantastic water park with thrilling slides and splash pads. It’s perfect for kids who love adventure. For those who prefer to stay dry, the park also has a large grassy area where children can run and play freely. After all the excitement, families can enjoy a delicious meal at the park’s on-site restaurant. Best of all, Club San Jaime is just a short walk from Casa Giebell.
Another great place to explore is the Son Bou Nature Reserve, located just a few minutes away. This peaceful area is home to many rare and beautiful birds, including the Booted Eagle, Blue Rock Thrush, and Egyptian Vulture. It’s a wonderful spot for nature lovers to observe wildlife up close. However, mosquitoes are common in this area, so wearing insect repellent is recommended.
For those with older children who love shopping, Centro Commercial is a must-visit. This shopping center features boutiques, high-end stores, and unique pop-up shops. It also has a large food court offering dishes from different cuisines.
