With room for 26 guests, Can Sitges Marcer is a stunning Catalan country house looking out over the vast Garraf National Park near Sitges. A 35-minute drive from Barcelona Airport, this property is perfect for special occasions and set on spacious grounds with a dining terrace and an impressive 9.5 x 4.5m salt-water swimming pool.
The extensive outdoor spaces enjoy beautiful views of the natural surroundings and incorporate some charming areas for guests to enjoy. There is a secluded barbecue area with table seating, a terrace lounge and bar, a pagoda and a large, covered dining terrace which can accommodate additional guests as required. Heaters are also available, so you don’t need to miss out on these gorgeous areas during autumn and winter. A new building has just been opened that can be used as a gym, chill out space and games room with table tennis! The perfect hang out space for kids and adults alike
Inside, you have two more dining areas seating 12 and 26 guests, respectively, and two fully-equipped kitchens. A chef service can be arranged if you desire – they can even teach you the secrets of Mediterranean cuisine in a special cookery class! There is flexibility to adapt the catering arrangements to your requirements, with a wide choice of cuisine available too.
There are sitting rooms with comfy sofas, TV and a great movie collection, as well as a games room which can be used as a cinema or party room. You have a pool table and table tennis there, with other equipment, such as projection screens, available to hire if required. Ten bedrooms, many of which have the original wooden-beamed ceilings and a ceiling or floor fan, accommodate guests on both the ground and first floors of the house. Most can be used as either a double or twin, and most have an en-suite bathroom (there are nine bathrooms in total). Each room has been beautifully designed and has its own unique style.
This extraordinary property is only a 10-minute drive from Sitges, a pretty coastal town with numerous beaches and a palm-lined promenade. With an abundance of restaurants and bars, this welcoming town is ideal for nights out and emanates an irresistible bohemian vibe.

About the surrounding area of Can Sitges MarcerTo the west of the Garraf National Park, around a 45-minute drive from Barcelona, Sitges is known as the 'Jewel on the Mediterranean'. An affluent small town welcoming to all, it's a place with a fun vibe and offers plenty to do and see.
Sitges is always ready for a celebration, and its calendar of events and festivals is impressive. As the host of the annual Catalonian International Film Festival, it's a great place for movie lovers and has a couple of good cinemas in the shape of El Retiro and Prado, the impressive interior of which is well worth seeing. February's Carnival Week and September's Grape Harvest Festival are among the other events which fill the year in Sitges – and as something of a gay capital, its Mardi Gras celebrations are a big deal too.
Sitges' pretty Old Town is filled with fine places to eat. Its popularity with tourists means it has a particularly good offering for a place of its size. There is everything from Catalan to the usual international options – you may notice that pizza is not in short supply! This is no bad thing, though, with lots of nice spots along the promenade to enjoy a casual meal together. You will find plenty of art galleries and a smattering of museums on the streets of Sitges too – an artistic, creative feel makes it an interesting place to go wandering.
The town has quite a few options for sports, including several golf courses and tennis clubs nearby. Numerous beaches and a reliably warm climate year-round make it good for water sports, with jet-skiing and sailing both possibilities. You are more likely to find windsurfing and water-skiing out towards Garraf. This spectacular nature reserve covers some 12,000 hectares and offers wonderful walking and cycling routes in inspiring surroundings.

Exploring the Garraf National Park is always a possibility, or there are countless beaches in nearby Sitges that are ideal for a day in the sun. The town is great for getting active, whether it's cycling, swimming, tennis or water sports, or you could take a boat trip together from the marina at Port d'Aiguadolç. There are endless things to do in this region!
Sitges is a town full of fun, so expect festivals of all sorts, music and dance events and, in February, the annual Sitges Carnival. If they love to shop, it's got that covered too, with markets and malls that are great for fashion, music and specialist food treats from the area.

Can Sitges Marcer provides beautiful accommodation for up to 26 people to relax and enjoy, as well as a sensational setting and services available to organise your own special celebration for up to 50 guests (including those staying in the villa). It's an easy location for your guests to get to, only 30 minutes from Barcelona airport, and close to many exciting places to visit as well as the beaches of Sitges. It's a private and exclusive place to stay, with spectacular views of the Garraf Natural Park and the sea in the distance.

Guests may decide to book their own transport to the villa however, they need to ensure that only a bus of up to 20 people will be able to drive up the road to the house. Any larger and they will not be able to turnaround.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.

| Insurance | Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay. |
| Pool opening dates? | The pool is open from March to December. Please note that pool opening dates are subject to local weather conditions and pool maintenance requirements and that cooler months may not be suitable for swimming. |
| Stag & Hen Do Allowed? | Stag & Hen Do's, and any other parties, are not allowed in this villa. |
| Other Ts and Cs | This villa is located in a residential neighbourhood, so guests are asked to keep music/noise to a minimum, especially outside, after 10 pm. If there are any noise complaints from neighbours, or if the police are called to the villa, guests risk not receiving their security deposit and/or being asked to vacate the property before their departure date. |
| Other Ts and Cs | The lead guest must be minimum 28 years old in order to book a stay in this villa. |

Ideal for large families
Very beautiful property with spacious and comfortable rooms. Good location 10 minutes from the beach and shops, ideal for large families, very spacious and charmingly decorated garden as well as numerous facilities for playing and relaxing. Absolutely Amazing!
We spent a week at Can Marcer de la Penya in July 2023 to celebrate our wedding with our family and close friends. Words cannot describe how fantastic this venue is as a holiday destination, and as a wedding venue. The stunning views were matched by the gorgeous decor of the villa - which had everything you could possibly need or want! But I really must say a MASSIVE thank you to Ginette, Peter and their team for being so welcoming, helpful and lovely through the whole visit! They really went above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us. I could not recommend highly enough! Thank you so much!

There's nowhere better than here
Everything about this home, its care, and the people who own and maintain the property is done with a huge amount of care. From the communication with the owners to the property managers to the beauty of each room and nook and shared space on the property, we could not have asked for a better place to stay.

You will not regret going here
18 of us stayed in the villa for an amazing family vacation. The home is beautiful and although it is a historical home it is as clean as pictured. Communication with owner is wonderful and they were very helpful with all of our needs and requests. The only regret we have is not renting the home for longer. Just an FYI the driveway up to the house is dirt and can be quite bumpy, but the prize at the end is worth it. You will not regret choosing this rental.

Great for all ages
We have just had the most fabulous long weekend stay at Can Marcer de la Penya. As a family group of 16 (ages 1 - 85) we all had a wonderful time and have lovely memories to share. Can Marcer is a very special place with beautifully furnished, comfortable rooms and different spaces inside and outside the Masia to enjoy. It was super being able to be together for meals, inside or outside, but also having time to catch up with different family members in all the different places such as around the pool, BBQ and garden areas.
We also enjoyed swimming, practising yoga in the sunshine, table tennis and the family competition in the Pool room. Ginette and Peter are excellent hosts. They answered all our queries promptly, helped with Chef contacts and ensured we were happy and comfortable at all times before, and during our stay. Thank you so much from the Richardson/Jackson Family. We really look forward to returning. -
The most wonderful week
We were lucky enough to hold our ceremony at this beautiful property. It truly was the most wonderful week with 25 of our closest family and friends.
The accommodation exceeded our expectations - every room was a ‘show-stopper’ with more than enough space for everyone to enjoy time together and some downtime.

Property is exceptional
We were a group of 14 - two families and our adult children (with significant others) and three teenagers. Can Marcer was perfect! It's an amazing home in a beautiful location.
Close to Sitges and Barcelona. We planned most of our activities using the property's website - and all recommendations worked out very well. We have a few well-seasoned travelers in the crowd and everyone thought this property was exceptional! Thank you -

Cannot compliment the owners enough for the attention they gave us from booking to
check in and during our stay.
The spaciousness of the villa is perfect for a big group. There is plenty of space to
come together as one but the way the villa is set out means that there are different
sections that mean you don’t always feel the size of the big group at all times. The two
kitchens are super handy but we found the main kitchen was such a lovely central hub
of activity.
The outside area is as amazing as the pictures make it look. The views are stunning and
there is such a lot of space for people to sit and either get sun or shade. The BBQ area
is such a lot of fun and you can all mill around and watch the chefs and have a drink at
the bar.
We hired e-bikes and that was fun. The company dropped them off and collected. That
was excellent. The owner put us in tough. I would not brave a manual in the heat! There
is a lovely 5k track that loops into the valley around the villa. There are some really
steep hills but you can run a lot of the way if you’re up for a morning run. Otherwise it’s
a nice challenge walk.
Sitges itself is wonderful and it really is a 10 minute drive in. Less to the closest Carabo
(big supermarket). There is one restaurant about 10 minutes walk and some of us went
there for drinks one day and for a meal another. Was lovely but you wouldn’t want to go
there more than once or twice during a two week stay I don’t think.
A car is necessary. Cabs from Sitges are reluctant to collect people from the villa
because the dirt track leading up to the villa is bumpy. We ordered a few cabs from the
restaurant as they have no probs going there. We were also dropped off by cabs no
problem. We hired two cars between three families and on some occasions the driver
did two drop offs into Sitges because it is so close. That worked well. Basically, the villa
is so beautiful that there were days when we just didn’t want to leave!
We were a group of 20 and we had the most amazing time. I would highly recommend
this place.

Can Sitges Marcer is truly a special gem! We had originally booked this for a a 20 person yoga retreat, but the pandemic happened...instead my family of 8 booked it for our first vacation in 2 years. Well worth the wait! The villa is both grand and homey, spacious and intimate. Each room is unique - very comfortable beds, nice linens, appointed bathrooms with shampoo/conditioner/body wash and hair dryers. The grounds are gorgeous, views of the vineyard, places to chat, nap, eat. The pool speaks for itself. The location is excellent - so private but easily accessible to Sitges for food and fun as well as the train station to get into Barcelona which we did twice. Although our group was small, after staying there, I can see that it would be an amazing place to hold a yoga retreat or event. And Ginette and Peter were excellent hosts - their recommendation to rent ebikes and take a trip to the Buddhist Monastery was a favorite and they were so helpful sorting our FC Barcelona tickets. Exceeded all expectations!
Myself and our group of friends and family were so excited to arrive at the villa - and it exceeded ALL expectations. Each room was so special and different with amazing details and special touches! There was so much space for our large group in and outside and the views were just breathtaking. We loved using the BBQ, the poolside bar and the amazing garden area. Ginette and Peter were so helpful and kind on the run up to our stay, helping to organise our food shopping and other helpful tips. We can't wait to come back - this place really was perfect for our special occasion and I would recommend it to anyone!
