Bodrum is a melting pot of top-notch seafood restaurants, colourful markets, winding streets and beguiling history, known for its tapestries and ancient tombs that are designated one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Well worth seeing are the ruins in Halicarnassus (the ancient Greek city that stood where modern Bodrum now stands), the Bodrum Amphitheatre, also known locally as the Bodrum Antique Theatre, sitting on a hillside above the city centre, offering a magical ambience for visitors to catch a show. Bodrum Castle is an unmissable masterpiece of Turkish 15th-century architecture with views across the harbour.
The colourful markets offer everything from food to textiles, as well as a touch of local life, ideal for picking up hand-made souvenirs or trying Turkish delight.
Water sports enthusiasts will be in their element, with everything on offer from chartering a boat cruise to jet-skiing to snorkelling, with many of the beaches being Blue Flag standard.

Travelling to Turkey
All British (and most other nationalities) citizens require a full 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity to enter Turkey. UK passport holders are exempt from visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days within 180 days starting from the first entry date. For all other passports please visit the Turkish Government Website or the Turkish Consulate for details of whether you require a visa or not.
Whilst in Turkey local regulations require you keep your passport and a printed copy of your e-visa with you at all times.
