Where is hot during the year?

Not everyone wants to go away in the summer months – sometimes the best time to get away is when the weather at home is starting to look miserable. So, we’ve put together a list of the best places to go for your sunshine fix at any time of year.

January, February, March

The tropical Riviera Maya offers hot temperatures even early in the year (when the rainfall is at its lowest) and is known for its impressive Mayan ruins, picturesque cenotes, and lively yet relaxing atmosphere. Its stunning long white beaches and the warmth of the Caribbean sea make for an ever-alluring holiday destination.

With white sandy beaches and vibrant landscapes, St. Lucia is an idyllic Caribbean destination. The average temperature ranges between a blissful  24°C - 29°C, you’ll be in the perfect location for colourful culture, cuisine and fun-filled tropical adventure.

Vietnam boasts uniquely beautiful scenery, deep-rooted history, fascinating local traditions and world-renowned beaches. The weather over this period is perfect, ranging between 25°C - 30°C and little rain. Don't forget to indulge in some of Vietnam's famous dishes like pho, banh mi, and fresh spring rolls during your travels.

April, May, June

It’s no secret that Lanzarote is a fantastic springtime family holiday destination, with diverse scenery that’s made for incredible hikes and beaches that are great for relaxing in the sun. For an exciting adventure, you can take a day trip to Fuerteventura, Tenerife or Gran Canaria to get the full Canarian experience.

If you want a warm Mediterranean holiday and to dodge the crowds of mid-summer, you should definitely head to Crete in Spring. The crystal blue Mediterranean Sea, the island’s deep history and its fantastic food are just some of the many things you can experience in gorgeous Crete.

Paris is widely regarded as one of the best places to visit at the beginning of summer. Get lost among glamorous landmarks, cute cafés, vibrant city life, and divine cuisine and that’s just scratching the surface of the iconic French capital!

July, August, September

Dreamy Dubrovnik in Croatia is known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. The UNESCO-listed Old Town oozes with character, and history and is peppered with fantastic restaurants and bars. Renowned for narrow cobblestone streets and magnificent city walls that are lapped by the glistening  Mediterranean Sea, it looks like something from a fantasy movie set…

Portugal’s picturesque capital is known for its colourful streets, traditional Fado music, and delicious cuisine. Explore the historic neighbourhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto with their traditional tiled buildings and famous yellow trams that bumble along the steep hillsides. Make sure to seek our delicious pasteis de nata, sweet egg custard tarts.

Tuscany is a beautiful region in the heart of Italy that is known for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and exceptional cuisine. The region also boasts picturesque hilltop towns, rolling hills covered in vineyards and olive groves, Renaissance art, millennia of history and gorgeous cities, towns and villages such as Florence, Siena and Montepulciano.

October, November, December

The Turquoise Coast is a stretch of Riviera coastline that runs along the Mediterranean Sea. This region is renowned for its stunning waters, rugged cliffs, and heavenly beaches that attract visitors from all over the world. You’ll be in prime position to explore the culture, cuisines and scenery of the surrounding towns,  Kalkan, Fethiye, Islamlar and more.

South Africa provides the excursion of a lifetime for adventurous travellers. Take in the lush scenery of Cape Town, gorgeous wine routes around Paarl and Stellenbosch, and soft sandy beaches on the shores where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet,  or indulge in luxury Safari retreats where you can connect with nature and witness exotic wildlife in their natural habitat.

With the rainy season finishing by the end of the year, December is the ideal time to visit Thailand’s eastern island, Koh Samui. Dry and hot, averaging 29°c, you can experience the vibrant culture, powder-soft beaches and crystal-clear water without being caught in a monsoon. Tropical Christmas, anyone?
